Version is the collaborative project from Charles Webster, Martin "Atjazz" Iveson and the extraordinary Emilie Chick and they delivered a sublime deep-house experience with this one back in 2008, which now reappears after we found it in a strorage unit. Moody, emotional, and richly textured, the EP showcases Chick's stunning vocals across multiple interpretations: from Charles and Atjazz's deep electronics, soulful congas and low sine-wave bass, to the ambient, introspectively-driven Reprise Mix. The EP concludes with a remarkable Jimpster dub blending classy, resonant piano with a killer acid-flavoured bassline. A fave at the time with Ame, Dixon and Jazzanova.
