Notes:
Reissue 'Purple Vinyl Edition' in card sleeve with inner sleeve and stickered resealable poly-sleeve, replacing the previous 'Raspberry Beret' obi edition.
Kate Bush - bless her soul - has authorised new vinyl pressings of her entire ten album run destined for sale through indie outlets like our good selves, and Hounds of Love must be one of the best known among them, achieving double platinum status after its first release in 1985. Bush's fifth LP, it contains her recent, Stranger Things-assisted viral success 'Running Up That Hill (A Deal with God)', but there's a lot more to it than that. There's a brace of other big hitters - the wonderfully fluffy 'Cloudbusting', the title track and 'The Big Sky' - but the way that she and her production team incorporate the latest technology like the Fairlight, while dodging its cliches, is a marvel in itself. It's rooted in its time, sure, but as its recent revival proves, it still sounds timeless.
