Last year, Alistair Gibbs - an artist renowned for his work as Nebraska - launched a new alternative alias, Dubl Drat, via an EP of deep house and disco fusion on Friends & Relations. Here, he dusts down that alias once more for the appropriately titled EP that brings together both of his recording aliases. Thus, we not only get an original Nebraska-credited cut - the jaunty, dub-flecked contemporary disco-funk of 'Alter Alter Ego' (A1), but also a hybrid deep house/disco remix of the same track as Dubl Drat (B2). He takes the same approach with 'Olive', with the spaced-out, effects-laden and gently picturesque Dubl Drat dub (B1) being joined by an even dreamier and more Balearic interpretation as Nebraska (B3). Slow-mo nu-disco chugger 'The Teckel Track' completes another strong package from Gibbs.
