Since snapping up legendary NYC house and garage imprint King Street Sounds a couple of years ago, Armada Music has released a quartet of killer "sampler" EPs featuring gems from the vaults. Predictably, there's plenty more gold to be found on the fifth instalment in the ongoing series. They begin by taking us back to 1995 via Mood II Swing's superb 'Driving Me Crazy', where the duo's usual weighty bass and deep, heavy bass come accompanied by jaunty pianos and excitement-building electronics, before offering up one of Mr V's fine 2005 reworks of Jon Cutler and DJ Romain's mid-90s underground deep house classic 'Deja-Vu'. Over on side B, you'll find Blaze's organ-rich 1993 dub of Japanese duo Loop Trick's 'Beat Trick', as well as the summery and soulful flex of Quentin Harris's revision of Studio Apartment's 'We Are Lonely'.
