After a three-year hiatus, Star Creature once more joins forces with Windy City crate diggers Boogie Munsters to deliver a fourth collection of impossible-to-find boogie-era gems from Chicago - all of which were previously only available on super-rare "private press" releases. They begin in bold fashion via Tiger Jack's 'Let's Bounce', a gritty slab of dancefloor jazz-funk/boogie fusion smothered in elongated, rock style guitar solos, before dropping the super-soulful swell of 'Give Your Love Today' by the Soul Invaders, where glossy synths, low-slung bass guitar and glassy-eyed group harmony vocals catch the ear. Over on side B, Motherfox's 'Fallen Into a Love' is a delightfully rich, positive and horn-heavy chunk of disco-boogie positivity, while 'Comin' At Ya' by Pyramid Plus is a spacey, synth-heavy delight.
