Following a run of releases on Aus Music, London producer Fold has decided to strike out on his own - albeit, in this case, with a little assistance from collaborator (and rising star) cu.rve. A-side 'Business' may sound familiar to some because it's been getting plays aplenty from Joy Orbison and Four Tet for months. It's a deliciously British sounding affair, with the pair wrapping warped, speed garage style bass and mind mangling modular-sounding electronics around a surging, UKG-goes-house beat. Flipside 'Smart Casual' leans further into the Maddslinky-circa-early-2000s 'future garage' sound - all elongated, all-action sub-bass, dark and angular electronics and rolling 4/4 garage beats.
