Just the six years after Vol 1, wave and synth archivists Dark Entries return with Endangered Species Vol 2, and this time rescue 11 more rare Italo and synth-wave curios from extinction. Highlights include an extended mix of Palazzo di Danza's slinky German-Italo cut 'Play That Song For Me,' Olga Vosconyan's moody 'Cars' and a previously unheard male vocal demo of Alexander Robotnick's 'I Wanna Believe' which is wonderfully shiny and hooky, Industrial heads get a treat too with Skinny Puppy pair Dwayne Goettel and cEvin Key's horror-sampling 'Bastards' that brings a theatric and darker sound alongside A;GRUMH...'s punchy, techno-leaning machine-funk 'The Army' and Khmer Rouge's Krautrock-tinged 'Take Me... In Dub.' Add in the 16-page booklet of liner notes and photos and you have another essential act of preservation.
