On Tilda's Goat Stare, Ciel and CCL hook up to craft a peak-time bunch of cuts that merge their passion for surrealist cinema with bass and deep prog music. Drawing inspiration from a cult cyberpunk feminist film starring Tilda Swinton as four characters (including three cyborg clones), they added their signature spicy, playful touch to the title cut which is deep and heady techno. With seductive vocal samples from the film, the result is a psychedelic sound that's as trippy as it is energetic. A Priori remix brings more otherworldly weirdness, 'Goblin Mode' then brings tight, clipped deep techno funk, a Yushh remix layers in some crisp broken beats and 'Spiral Drive' shuts down with manic kinetic rhythms.
