YumYum Records launches its first vinyl release and it comes from label heads Cal & Al, who have long bonded over years of shared digging, DJing and music-making rooted in Welsh underground culture. The EP opens with 'Jump & Twist', a nice lithe sound with clean, buffed metal pads and sleek drums that leave plenty of room. 'Tell U' (deep mix) harks back to zoned out early 90s tech with a nice alluring female vocal and Welsh producer Harrison BDP remixes the A1 with his own spritely rhythm and deep aesthetics. 'Tie Your Shoes Lace' shuts down with landing spacecraft, whimsical melodies and a lightness of touch that makes all the difference.
