Description

A highly desirable early monograph on one of the most influential and commercially successful contemporary artists of the late 20th century.

The Jeff Koons Handbook was first published in Great Britain in 1992 by Thames & Hudson Ltd in collaboration with the Anthony d’Offay Gallery, London, at a pivotal moment in Koons’ career. Issued during the period following his controversial Made in Heaven series and coinciding with the emergence of Puppy (1992), this publication captures Koons at a transformative stage before his later record-breaking auction dominance.

The striking red cover features Self-Portrait (1991), while the rear showcases Puppy (1992), now one of Koons’ most iconic large-scale works.

The book includes:
    •    An introduction by Robert Rosenblum
    •    Full acknowledgements to key figures in Koons’ studio and gallery network
    •    High-quality colour reproductions of major early works
    •    Exhibition and production documentation from the early 1990s
    •    Designed by Herman Lelie
    •    Produced in Germany by Uwe Kraus GmbH
